Our client, an operations company, is looking for a Senior Benefits Specialist to join their team in the downtown Chicago area. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring that the company's benefits are competitive, equitable and support the attraction and retention of talent that suits the company's needs. This position, based on experience, pays up to $100k.

About You:

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Human Resources Management, Finance, or equivalent work experience in human resources is required
• 4+ years of progressively responsible experience in the area of HR, compensation, benefits, retirement and leave administration.
• 3+ years of experience as a Benefits Analyst within a consulting firm
• Project Management Experience
• Knowledge of HR Management Systems
• Expertise of all applicable state and federal laws; FLSA, ERISA, Affirmative Action, ACA

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate medical claims data for trends and recommend appropriate plan design changes, products and wellness programs to best serve the needs of employees
• Reconcile benefit vendor invoices with internal enrollment records
• Develop well-produced benefit communication materials
• Develop, monitor, analyze benefit costs and performance against benchmark data.
• Recommend new and/or revised plans that are cost effective and support ability to attract and retain targeted talent pool
