The Missile & Weapons Systems (MWS) organization is on a growth trajectory (having doubled the business each of the last two years with further growth projections continuing through 2023). This growth is occurring in both the Cruise Missile Systems and Direct Attack Weapons organization.
An Engineering Project Lead is needed to provide project management leadership for Aircraft Platform Integration within the Direct Attack portfolio. You will be integral in the development of statement of work (SOW) and estimates to satisfy ongoing and new business requirements, assessment of the impact of changes and events on deliverables, resources, costs and schedules, and modification of execution plans. You will also identify and track performance metrics, and develop plans for risk mitigation and opportunities.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead preparation of estimates for new business opportunities.
Develop and maintain project execution plans.
Lead program integration efforts and coordinate with internal and external customers.
Work with contracts management to ensure programs stay on track and meet program deliverables.
Lead multiple disciplines through integration efforts and recommend paths forward to customers.
Mentor early career engineers
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering
5 or more years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role
3 or more years of experience in engineering and/or engineering project management.
3 or more years of experience developing and tracking program plans/schedules and budgets for technical projects.
3 or more years of experience with proposal development and contract management
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Project management experience across multiple contract types (e.g. CPFF, FFP, T&M)
Experience with Weapons Integration programs.
Experience with the F-35 program
Experience with Flight Testing, Software in the Loop (SIL) testing, and Hardware in the Loop (HIL) testing.
Proven background of handling multiple concurrent projects and Purchase Orders
Ability to travel 25% of the time
