We are seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator for our client in the Automotive industry; this person will be responsible for mixture of maintenance and project work; mostly daily operational support to start with until you are more familiar with the enviroment. Some other responsibilities will include scripting and automation using TSQL, Power SQL, and SQL agent. You will work alongside your team as well as external teams as a member of the Data Management Team and participate in architectural discussions for our client. This environment has multiple different types of databases and platforms so if you are comfortable in different environments and looking for a new challenge, then this is the position for you!
Required Skills:
At least 5 years' experience in database administration for MSSSQL Server 2014 and newer - must know High Availability & Disaster Recovery options, failover clustering, log shipping, & MSSQL Always On.
At least 3 years' experience providing operational database support
At least 1 year of hands-on experience administering Aurora & MongoDB, or similar database at least 5 TB
Must have experience with scripting, Automation, troubleshooting issues, using native monitoring, Performance Tuning & Optimization
Must know SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS
Must have experience with SQL server backup, recovery scenarios, & server replication
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent work experience
