Our client in Philadelphia is looking for a Sr. Windows Engineer to join their team. This is a permanent role by way of contract-to-hire with an extremely stable and well-known organization.

Position Description:

• Working on Active Directory & Windows projects
• Automation of standard server maintenance tasks (creating a script that validates server has been placed in our inventory, DNS, monitoring system i.e. SolarWinds)
• PowerShell scripting
• Troubleshooting Active Directory/Windows issues on the virtual servers
• Basic day to day working within VMware
• Documentation is key in this team
• Communication with multiple teams
• On-call rotation - 1.5-2 months, on call for a week
• Manage/maintain AD-related infrastructure components (ADFS, DFS, certificate services, etc.)
• Work with IAM team on Active Directory related security solutions, such as privileged access management and multi-factor authentication
• Design/implement Active Directory, including domains, trusts, and multiple forests
• Maintain/support existing AD infrastructures, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to access control, authorization, and authentication
• Plan/execute AD consolidations, migrations, and upgrades
• Design/implement/maintain Group Policies that comply with security policies/standards
• Plan/implement AD business continuity solutions and disaster recovery
• Active Directory documentation
• Participate in the evaluation/selection of Active Directory related products/services

Required Skills:

• 5+ years Active Directory upgrades and consolidations experience - be able to speak to specifics
• Windows
• PowerShell scripting a must
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work within a VMWare environment.
