Director of IT Infrastructure - Boston(Hybrid 2 days onsite) -$195k

Located in Boston, MA and looking for someone to come in office 2 days a week, a large private economics consulting firm - servicing top law firms, fortune 100 companies, and government agencies, is looking for a Director of IT Infrastructure to join the company.

They seek an individual who has shown excellence in their past, ideally in a consulting, professional services, or similar environment. A person with strong team skills and collaborative personality will have an opportunity to be part of a highly motivated international team. In a full-time and permanent position, you will support the global offices as a Director of IT Infrastructure responsible for implementing strategic direction and operational management of the technical infrastructure including hardware, software, servers, databases, networks and HPC and who will have responsibility for about 5-7 direct reports.

Your background:

• 10+ years of solid technical knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco technologies.
  * Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to make certain the IT infrastructure meets current and future needs.
  * Experience managing global infrastructure and working closely with it as well as prior work with NAS and SAN storage solutions
  * Solid technical knowledge of Checkpoint and ASA firewalls.
  * Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolutions techniques.
  * Requirement definition and application configuration for improvements with key users
  * Project management for application implementation, testing and upgrade, including managing vendors and service partners

The work you'll be doing:

• Working on the design and implementation of short- and long-term strategic plans to make certain the IT infrastructure meets current and future needs.
  * Make certain their is high availability, backup, and continuity of all IT infrastructure, monitoring reliability continuously, resiliency, and performance, and developing and executing projects as necessary.
  * Develop and deploy methodologies for testing infrastructure performance and providing performance statistics and reports.
  * Manage and provide direction for the team in support of business operations.
  * Manage and ensure effectiveness of security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and intrusion detection systems.
