Location: 3 days on site Fort Washington, PA
Our client is seeking an experienced Java Developer to become a key member of their team.
Position Overview:
Responsibilities:
- Coding: Contribute to development efforts with a focus on Java frontend UI (up to 50% of the role).
- Database Management: Work with DB2 backend systems.
- Reporting: Take on a substantial reporting role, utilizing OpenText for reporting tasks.
- System Enhancement: Improve and maintain the producer directory system, which tracks broker data such as credentials, licenses, commissions, and appointments.
- Support: Assist in maintaining systems that handle batch processes for data transfer to other areas.
- Collaboration: Partner with architects to design and refine system components.
- Communication: Engage with internal team members and business partners to understand requirements, address issues, and implement changes.
Required Skills:
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years in Java development.
- Reporting Tools: Proficiency with OpenText for reporting.
- Technical Skills: Competence in Unix scripting.
