Location: Fully remote EST hours
Duration: 4+ month contract
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Lead to oversee our cloud and data engineering projects. As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for guiding a team of engineers, ensuring the successful execution of projects, and maintaining high standards for code quality and performance.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers in the development and implementation of cloud-based data engineering solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support in areas including cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and application development.
- Attend and actively participate in project meetings to provide updates, address roadblocks, and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables, and track progress against project timelines.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and project requirements.
- Identify and resolve technical issues and roadblocks that may impact project timelines or quality.
- Analyze system performance and optimize data processing workflows to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and other departments to ensure smooth project execution.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Must have 3+ years of Technical Lead experience
- Code Reviews: Experience in performing code reviews and providing constructive feedback.
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with Azure cloud services and architecture.
- Data Engineering: Proven expertise in designing and managing data pipelines using tools like Apache Airflow and Azure Data Factory.
- Programming Languages: Understanding of Python and Java for data processing and application development. (Will not be doing the development but needs to understand it)
- Database Management: SQL skills for database querying and manipulation.
- Containerization: Understanding of Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Team Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams.
