Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Junior Business Analyst to join our EDI Claims team. This role will focus on collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely claims processing and to support ongoing improvements in our business processes. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of healthcare claims processing and a passion for data analysis and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Claims Processing Oversight: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and ensure claims are processed efficiently and within established timelines.
- Reporting: Create and present detailed reports on claims processing performance to stakeholders, highlighting trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
- Issue Resolution Tracking: Collaborate with the technical team to track and resolve open issues related to claims processing, ensuring effective communication and timely resolution.
- Impact Analysis and Data Cleanup: Partner with technical and operations teams to conduct impact analyses and facilitate data cleanup efforts to maintain data integrity.
- Process Improvement Recommendations: Analyze current business processes, leveraging industry trends and best practices to make informed recommendations for enhancements.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience working with healthcare claims, demonstrating a solid understanding of the claims processing lifecycle.
- Industry Knowledge: Overall knowledge of healthcare claims processing, including EDI transactions and relevant regulations.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to assess current processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to diverse audiences.
- Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including technical and operational stakeholders.
