SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Microsoft OS and Active Directory

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Basic Understanding of Microsoft Networking (Light to Moderate AD Knowledge)
  • Understand the basics of how AD works (domain structure/Users/Groups, etc.)
  • Understand how AD Security Policies work
  • Knowledge with mapping a network drive and connect to a UNC path
  • Knowledge with setting security on folders/shares
  • Knowledge with networking basics (TCP/IPDNS)
  • Knowledge with installing stop/start services
  • Ability to read event logs
  • Knowledge with Windows Task Scheduler

DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES

Basic Help Desk

  • Monitor ticketing system queue and reply to Tier 1 issues
  • Troubleshooting software and hardware issues to both remote and onsite personnel
  • Onboarding new users with new hardware and software

Upkeep of Inventory (WASP). This includes the following:

  • Ensure all IT equipment is tagged and, in the system,
  • Responsible for equipment check-in, check-out (Projectors, Laptops)

  • Responsible for Anti-Virus software on client workstations
  • Patch management and network basics on troubleshooting

Upkeep of Help Desk Portal

  • Refining images as new hardware/software is introduced
  • Maintaining software distribution
  • Writing up how-to's
  • Upkeep of Conference room and end user phones
  • Assist clients in connecting to wireless and/or AV
