Third Party Billing Manager - Hybrid

We are assisting a Boston based Human Services client with their opening for a Third Party Billing Manager to join their team. This is a hands on role where you will be leading a team and also involved in the day-to-day.

Responsiblities:

  • Submit billing from assigned programs and provide feedback to programs regarding any issues that may impact billing/reimbursement (i.e., authorization or eligibility) while building and maintaining positive working relationships with the programs
  • Enter the submitted information for electronic and paper claims submission to each insurer
  • Apply and/or oversee application of payments to the appropriate services within the billing system
  • Complete and/or oversee write-offs and billing adjustments as needed
  • Act as designated contact person for all payers billed by department
  • Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate 3rd Party Team Leader and assist with Third Party Billing Specialists and Cash Application specialist.
  • Complete and/or oversee completion and distribution of monthly reporting
  • Perform and/or oversee collection actions as necessary on all third party billing, and report on ongoing collection efforts monthly.
  • Manage all appeals, rebilling, and corrective billing projects as necessary and within all designated timeframes for each project
  • Apprise Director of A/R of any issues that significantly impact billing, payments, and collections immediately as they arise
  • Complete and/or oversee completion of credentialing packages and contracting activities as necessary
  • Research new/updated billing procedures and provide training to staff as necessary
  • Develop and maintain policies/procedures and best practices to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and private insurance requirements
  • Maintain the confidentiality of client information according to HIPAA regulations
  • Complete special projects as necessary and other relevant duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of prior Third Party Billing Experience
  • Prior Supervisory experience
