Required Skills:

5+ years of professional experience in a SQL DBA role required

Must have experience using tools and automation to monitor, administer, and manage SQL Server environment

Experience with performance tuning, installs, maintenance, backups, and migrations is required

Experience with migrating multiple databases on-prem to cloud environments, ensuring seamless integration with cloud services and maintaining high availability during the process

Must be able to configure and manage cloud SQL Databases, including setting up firewall rules, monitoring performance metrics, and optimizing database configurations for cost and efficiency

Must be able to implement cloud Backup and Recovery solutions for SQL databases ensuring data protection and quick recovery in the event of failures or data loss

Must be able to configure and manage cloud SQL managed instances, including setting up automated backups, monitoring performance, and scaling resources as needed to meet demand

Must be able to develop and implement security policies in cloud SQL databases, including encryption, auditing, and access controls, to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Must be able to monitor and manage database performance using cloud tools for monitoring and SQL Analytics, ensuring high availability and optimal performance for mission-critical applications.

Experience with SQL stored procedures, triggers, and functions is ideal

Must be extremely detailed, thorough, and meticulous

Experience working with various teams including development teams is ideal

Experience with SQL Server upgrades and migrations is ideal

Must be able to take ownership and be able to provide and implement database best practices

Must be able to work with and communicate effectively with various teams in an enterprise organization

Must be a team player who can work with various teams effectively
